both Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors franchises just got a bunch of image songs. Of course, Sima Zhao, ranking right up there with amazing singers like Lu Bu and Zhao Yun, got one :D yaaay, imagine my glee. Anyway. Postin' here for posterity's sake.

I want my DLC so I can take detailed notes on who uses whose style names and who doesn't (admittedly I can only do so for the characters who have unique quotes for each other BUT STILL). X(

ALSO THIS YES the style names I want/need... this... T_T mostly that's why I want the Japanese track. I don't hate most of the English voices, tbh ;A;

Yeah, tbh I...love most of the English voices. Even though they get silly and overwrought, that's part of the charm. Boyue's is actually one of the only ones I seriously hate.

ngl though, I felt kind of vindicated when I went to the Japanese site and almost every character's intro voice clip was Surname Style instead of Surname Givenname, because I was always like "am I gonna get judged for using style names.... (unsure)"

Boyue's is REALLY BAD, okay. but everyone else is pretty good, I agree, and it's kind of like. That slight over-the-top factor is what makes them even better? idk.

I am always worried about the style names because I am like I AM SO DOING IT WRONG 90% of the time, but in my defense, Zhao and Shi are called by their names like all of the time, though mostly by their father, so...

IT IS. I WANT A SUIT DLC...

He has never had a voice I like, in any version. It's depressing. The over-the-top is pretty fab, though. I especially love Zhao Yun when he's in trouble. "please! SOMEBODY! i am in NEED of ASSISTANCE!!!"

Even the novel is weird about style names for some characters. Like, Boyue's isn't really used, but I think that's largely because he doesn't get directly addressed by name much to begin with, so his name is mostly only coming up in narration, and the narration is gloriously inconsistent. (I imagine there could be a pretty cool academic essay in whether the names used in narration are indicative of a certain agenda on the part of the writer. I am far too lazy to sit down, compare everything, and write it.)
